The Infrared Water Vapor Transmission Rate Tester W413 2.0 represents an advanced, precision packaging material testing instrument developed in accordance with ASTM and GB standards. This high-end analyser caters to the market demand for assessing the water vapour transmission rate of samples under specific temperature and humidity conditions. Test Principle The W413 2.0 employs the infrared method for water vapour transmission rate analysis. The pre-treated sample is secured in the test chamber, divided into high-humidity and low-humidity sides. Compressed air flows on one side of the film, while dry nitrogen (carrier gas) maintains a fixed rate on the other. The resulting humidity gradient causes water vapor to permeate from high to low humidity, and the infrared sensor captures the transmitted water vapor. Parameters such as water vapour permeability are obtained from the sensor's electrical signal output.
