The Water Vapour Permeability Analyser Gravimetric Method W301 2.0 is founded on the gravimetric method (weight loss) test principle, meticulously developed, designed and manufactured in compliance with standards such as GB/T 1037, ASTM E96, among others. Tailored for the water vapour transmission performance assessment of films, sheets, paper, packaging and associated materials in diverse industries like food, medicine, medical equipment, daily chemicals and photovoltaic electronics, it excels in delivering a wide-range, high-efficiency detection of water vapour transmission rates for materials with high, medium and low water vapour barrier properties.

Test Principle Distilled water is introduced into a dry, clean, moisture-permeable cup. The cup, sealed with a pre-treated sample, is then placed within the test chamber. By regulating temperature and humidity, the distilled water in the moisture-permeable cup evaporates. The evaporated water vapour passes through the film, and the drying device absorbs it. Weight measurements of distilled water in the moisture-permeable cup over time allow for the determination of parameters such as the moisture permeability of the sample.
