Accurate. Cost-Effective. Standards-Compliant.

The SA4PT is a reliable, lab-scale four-point bending beam testing machine designed for high-throughput fatigue and modulus testing of asphaltic paving materials. Combining low cost with high precision, it’s ideal for laboratories needing repeatable and standards-compliant results.

Why Choose the SA4PT?
This stand-alone unit uses advanced servo pneumatic technology and a high-speed digital data acquisition system, delivering real-time graphical and tabular test data. Designed for ease of use and accuracy, the SA4PT supports both controlled strain and controlled stress modes to assess stiffness modulus and fatigue resistance.

The system is equipped with clamps positioned at 118.5 mm centres and a 335.6 mm (14-inch) outer span, meeting AASHTO T321 specifications. Beam height and width can be adjusted to accommodate different specimen sizes.

Note: Testing beams containing aggregates >20 mm does not fully comply with EN 12697-24 Annex D. This must be reported in accordance with the standard.

Typical Applications:

  • Asphalt mix design validation
  • Evaluation of end-product performance
  • Research and development of new paving materials

Key Features:

  • Fully complies with:
    • EN 12697-24 Annex D
    • EN 12697-26 Annex B
