Our square drive reaction torque transducers utilise strain gauge technology to measure torsion with precision. These strain gauges are made from high-quality thin wire, which changes electrical resistance in response to compression and extension. Mounted at a 45-degree angle to the rotational axis, the transducers effectively minimise the impact of extraneous forces. The four-gauge Wheatstone Bridge configuration ensures a precise output signal that is directly proportional to the applied torque.

Optimised for Measuring Reaction Torque

Designed for applications involving large square drives, our square drive reaction torque sensors offer exceptional accuracy and reliability. The Model 2208 features a 4" square drive, while the Model 2209 provides a 5 ½” AF square drive. Compact yet powerful, these units are perfect for calibrating and testing high-torque devices used in industries such as energy production, mining, and heavy equipment manufacturing.
