Clamping Unit Safety Catcher

The safety catcher is a high-performance clamping unit designed for vertical axles, providing reliable fall protection and preventing uncontrolled lowering or sinking of machine components.

It operates on a self-reinforcing mechanical locking principle, securing round rods in any position without continuous energy supply, and is suitable for both compressive and tensile loads.

In the event of standstill, power loss, drive failure, or emergency conditions, it automatically locks to hold the load safely and can be released via hydraulic or pneumatic pressure.

Widely used in presses, machine tools, robotics, and lifting systems, the safety catcher ensures maximum operational safety for both people and equipment, with optional sensor integration for position monitoring and DGUV-Test certified designs available.
