MFD Measurement Value Acquisition in Printing Direction

The MFD Extensometer is an advanced solution for accurately determining compressive strength (ASTM D-2938) and modulus of elasticity (ASTM D-3148) of intact cylindrical or square rock samples under uniaxial compressive load. This versatile extensometer can be configured for use on two, three, or four sides of the specimen, depending on the specific testing requirements. The individual transducers' measuring bridges are connected in parallel to automatically calculate the mean value, ensuring precise and reliable results.

Key Features

  • Accuracy Class 0.5 (EN ISO 9513) for precise measurements.
  • 3 mm Measuring Range to cover a broad spectrum of testing needs.
  • Low Actuation Force (10-60 cN) minimises interference with sample integrity.
  • Simple and Symmetrical Clamping Device for easy setup and consistent measurements.
  • Compatibility with MFU 4 for circumference measurement, offering expanded functionality.

Available Configurations

  • MFD 2: Designed for square or cylindrical samples.
  • MFD 3: Optimised for cylindrical samples.
  • MFD 4: Suitable for both square and cylindrical samples.

With its robust design and adaptable configurations, the MFD Extensometer is the ideal tool for high-accuracy rock sample testing in laboratories and research facilities.
