The digi test II from Bareiss is a fully automated, modular digital hardness testing system designed for precise Shore, IRHD and VLRH measurements on polymers, elastomers, foams and rubber materials. Engineered for flexibility and repeatability, it enables reliable hardness testing on both standard specimens and finished components with complex geometries.
Precision Hardness Testing—Fully Automated
Unlike conventional hardness testers limited to flat samples, the digi test II uses automatic surface detection technology to accurately measure flat, convex and concave surfaces. Interchangeable probes and customisable indenter lengths allow testing at virtually any point on the specimen, including thin-walled and finished parts.
The system is controlled by an intelligent electronic unit that manages the complete test sequence, displaying measuring time, test method and selectable parameters—significantly reducing operator influence and improving repeatability.
Modular, Proven Design
With a heritage dating back to 1972, the digi test II continues Bareiss’ tradition of modular design and intuitive operation. A wide range of plug-and-play measuring devices, standard fixtures and custom sample holders ensure a tailored solution for almost any application.
