Test Principle The test involves mixing the test material and inoculum, pouring them into the reaction vessel, and subjecting them to aerobic composting conditions. Microorganisms decompose the organic compounds in the test materials into carbon dioxide (CO2), water (H2O), and mineralised inorganic salts. The emitted carbon dioxide (CO2) is measured by a continuous infrared analysis sensor to determine the final biodegradability of the test material.
