The Automatic Test Stand BSA transforms Bareiss handheld hardness testers into precise, stationary laboratory instruments. Designed to minimise user influence, the BSA ensures repeatable, standards-compliant hardness measurements through controlled lowering speed, defined contact pressure, and perfectly perpendicular alignment to the test specimen.

By automating the testing process, the BSA expands the application of your handheld hardness tester from mobile, on-site use to reliable bench-top testing in laboratories and production environments.

The stand automatically lowers the hardness tester onto the sample at a constant, standard-conforming speed and applies the required normative contact pressure via its total mass. Optional additional weights allow flexible adjustment to suit different measuring methods and standards.

Key Benefits

  • Converts handheld testers into stationary laboratory systems

  • Constant, standardised lowering speed

  • Defined and reproducible contact pressure

  • Accurate perpendicular positioning on the test surface

  • Minimises operator-related measurement variability

  • Flexible configuration with additional weights for different methods
