The AUTO W401 2.0 water vapour transmission rate tester is meticulously crafted in accordance with GB/T 26253 and ASTM F1249 standards. Employing the infrared method for testing, it caters to a broad spectrum of high, medium, and low barrier materials, delivering an efficient water vapour transmission rate assessment. Test Principle The AUTO W401 2.0 water vapour transmission rate tester utilises the infrared method, positioning the pre-treated sample in the test chamber's center. The chamber is divided into high-humidity and low-humidity sides. Humidified nitrogen flows on one side of the film, while dry nitrogen (carrier gas) flows on the other side at a fixed rate. Within a humidity gradient, water vapour permeates from the high-humidity to the low-humidity side. The infrared sensor captures the water vapor carried by the flowing dry nitrogen, providing the water vapour transmission rate and other parameters through the sensor's electrical signal output.
