Last year, Hylec Controls had the opportunity to meet with representatives from Mars Petcare at a prominent tradeshow, where we were showcasing our range of advanced packaging machinery. We’re thrilled to now be partnering with Mars Petcare to support their packaging quality control and research with the addition of two key pieces of testing equipment: the GBL-L2 Electronic Tensile Tester and the GBN200G Compression Tester.

The GBL-L2 Electronic Tensile Tester is an ideal choice for Mars Petcare’s packaging testing needs. Test Principle: Accurate Force and Displacement Measurements
The GBL-L2 works by fixing the processed sample between two chucks of the fixture. When the instrument is activated, the chucks move relative to each other, and the force sensor on the movable chuck collects force value changes throughout the test. Simultaneously, the built-in displacement sensor tracks displacement changes, enabling the precise calculation of performance indicators such as tensile strength, peeling, heat sealing, and tearing. These measurements are crucial for ensuring the integrity and durability of Mars Petcare’s packaging materials.
GBN200G Compression Tester – Evaluating Pressure Resistance and Burst Strength
Alongside the tensile tester, Hylec Controls is also supplying Mars Petcare with the GBN200G Compression Tester, which is essential for assessing the pressure resistance and burst strength of packaging bags. This instrument plays a pivotal role in industries like packaging, food, medicine, and chemicals, where packaging materials need to withstand significant pressure and prevent bursting under stress.
The GBN200G is designed to evaluate various packaging materials used by Mars Petcare, ensuring their packaging can endure transportation, handling, and storage without compromising product integrity.
